This series is great. I've been researching this stuff for years now. Great alternate way to look at our history. The problem: Egyptologists, Professors, etc. who have only studied in the mainstream will have trouble with this theory. What most of them fail to realize is, our history is constantly being re-written based on new understanding/evidence. What we think of as truth is always evolving. Those who have spent their lives studying a subject always think they are the expert until something proves them wrong. Even though the evidence may be substantial, would you want to admit you have wasted your life? Likely, you will look for whatever excuse you can to disprove it. This is only in line with all of human history; remember, everyone once "knew" the Earth was flat, and was at the center of the universe. You were likely killed for believing any different.

Must See. The evidence that is presented blew me away. The ability to cut directly into granite blocks with such percision. The ability to move granite blocks that weigh over 1000 tons and place them in such perfert aliment, blew me away. This was done by ancient man 4000 years ago??? They ask some great questions that traditional egyptologist refuse to address. I give this production a major thumbs-up and can only hope that they produce more of these great overviews!!!!

I have to admit, they really jumped into history and promote a different point of view. At one point, they asked the question "how did ancient man with little to no tools, move blocks of granite that weigh north of 1200 tons"? Most engineers state that we could not complete this task today. Most of these building were completed over 4000 years ago. This is just amazing....See all episodes to get the real overview. Thanks History Channel!!!!!!!

I have researched this stuff for years, and was pleased to see the History Channel produce a series on it. They did a good job producing some of the evidence. Cultural understanding is not required to realize the technical abilities of the ancients, which surpass our own. Academia naysayers have always been 10 steps behind, as they seek the safety of parroting well established yet often false teachings.

I am an Egyptologist with a good background in the Ancient Near East (and several degrees from the University of Chicago). Some of the "evidence" they use is just plain wrong! They get people who have never fully studied the ancient cultures who use bits and pieces of texts and images to "prove" their theories. They use no respectable historian, only people who have written sensationalist books. They also never bring on an ancient historian to explain what the "evidence" really shows. I'll admit, they make everything sound very plausible if you know nothing of the culture. I'm disgusted that the HISTORY CHANNEL has sunk so low and is providing a show with so little truth, passing it off as "educational".
