This is a fantastic account of the true story of Moses. No longer can we stand by and pretend that he was a benevolent "grandfather" type figure who wished only the good of his people. Like most historical figures from Martin Luther King to Ghandi, he had a bad side, and unfortunatly in the case of Moses, this included murder of innocent women and children under the pretense of doing it for the sake of "God". As a former theology student and an amateur anthropologist, I fully appreciated this aspect of the Moses story. It does not diminish God as deity at all, just explains that, as is the case today, prophets always turn out to be human and act as humans are prone to behave.

I found this show to be incredibly insightful and informative. They truly have put combined the research of the best scholars to create this show. It follows the text of the scriptures closely and propose nothing beyond reason. If anything, their account is more plausible than previous translations. As a graduate student in a world religions literature class I give this production top marks.
