This series was written and produced by Edward Rasen, who served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam from July 1965 to February 1968. Rasen was a combat infantryman and Long Range Recon team leader who was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), Bronze Star for valor and Purple Heart for combat wounds. Subsequently, he worked in Vietnam and Cambodia as a producer for ABC News.
