We bought this for a teen who loves various lights in his room. As a soothing sound, the ocean wave option is great, but does not wake him up. There is no alarm option. Other sounds include birds, soft music with birds, and soft music. We will keep it because he loves the look of it, with the changing colors, but he will need to use another alarm.

I bought this alarm clock with my son in mind, was going to gift it to him for Christmas....after I opened it and tried it, it was over, it had to be mine, and I absoutly love it. The lighting is very cool, and relaxing, and the sounds are quite nice as well, and it lets you control the volume of them which is nice. I have wrapped it up and addressed it to myself under the tree this year, I cant wait till Christmas.... Truely an awesome product, and the package is really nice too, if you are planning to gift it to someone.

This is a great looking clock and I love the easy-to-read numerals. Setting the alarm and shutting it off take a little practice, because the instructions are not totally clear. But it does work well once you get used to it, and it's a huge improvement over my old clock radio. The atomic clock feature didn't really work too well in my location, but I was able to set the time manually.

I bought this alarm clock for my husband for Christmas. It is attractive, with or without the pretty glowing lights, on our nightstand. Because it syncs with the atomic clock, it is very reliable, and he loves how it displays the alarm time in small numbers on the bottom right-hand corner of the display. Then, he never forgets to set the alarm and knows right away if it is set for the correct time without touching a single button! I might buy another clock for our guest room!
