What was really lost in Pompeii? This engaging documentary delves into the tragic story of the lost city of Pompeii. Destroyed by a volcano in 79 A.D., this once prosperous Italian town lay buried under lava and ash until it was discovered in the 1700s. Now modern archaeologists are returning once again to Pompeii to unlock all of its mysteries of ancient life frozen in time. There's new footage, computer animations of the disaster and expert commentary put together for this terrific feature.

Expert Review:
Inspired by Billy Wilder’s “Double Indemnity” (1944), “Body Heat” is a sophisticated, steamy update of the tale of two lovers who plot to murder a tedious, wealthy husband (Richard Crenna). Kathleen Turner, in her first big screen role, plays a whip-smart, wily manipulator opposite easy-on-the-eyes William Hurt. All the elements of this film (look, mood, music, script, direction, acting) work beautifully. Supporting players include Mickey Rourke, Ted Danson and J.A. Preston. Lawrence Kasdan wrote and directed. By Jacqueline Fitzgerald of Film Noir Blonde
