See how a series of disturbing drawings led detectives to solve a murder a dozen years after the body was found.

In 1987, the body of Peggy Hettrick was discovered in an open snowfield. A bloody, 103-foot drag trail snaked across the snow, and evidence was scarce--a shoe imprint and the victim's cigarettes. But in an abandoned hut nearby, there were drawings of nude women with .22 caliber bullets fired through breasts and pubic areas.

The "artist" of these disturbing images turned out to be 15-year-old Timothy Masters, who lived with his father in a trailer 200 feet away. Suspicion immediately focused on the boy, and a search revealed more grotesque pictures in his notebook--including one of a man dragging a bloody woman--but there was no evidence directly linking him to the murder. COLD CASE FILES reveals how, in 1995, investigators sent Masters' drawings to a renowned forensic psychologist, who declared that there was enough similarity between them and the crime scene for him to be responsible. Spurred by this finding, they searched his home and found more damning evidence, which eventually led to his conviction for Hettrick's murder.
