From the initial interviews to the governor's decision, follow the fate of three Oklahoma prisoners.
The groundbreaking INVESTIGATIVE REPORTSTM series continues with a visit to the Sooner state. Once again, we'll follow the fate of three prisoners as they present their cases to the PAROLE BOARD and await the decision that could change their live forever.
Aaron Cosar is serving a life sentence for murder in the first degree. Though his crime was heinous, he has been a model inmate for 15 years and hopes that his behavior behind bars and the fact that he was just 20 when he was put in jail will persuade the parole board to recommend his release. Michael Sanders had four previous felony convictions when he was found guilty of trying to steal 530 pounds of copper wire valued at $1,342. Sentenced to 20 years, he won early release, but then stopped reporting to his parole officer. Re-arrested, he is again trying to win release. Finally, Lincoln Taylor, 47, is facing the board for the first time after serving 15 years for assaulting a police officer.
From preparing their cases to the governor's decision, PAROLE BOARD: OKLAHOMA offers an up-close look at a side of the justice system we rarely see.
