A man convicted of killing his Russian bride tells his side of the story in a jailhouse interview.
The stories of mail order brides are filled with incidents of abuse, deception, dashed dreams and broken promises. But in the case of Anastasia Solovieva, her escape to a new life ended with murder.
AMERICAN JUSTICE® documents the dark side of a controversial business in MAIL ORDER MURDER. Anastasia, a beautiful, vivacious teenager from the western Russian province of Kyrgyztan, accepted a marriage proposal from Indle Gifford King, Jr., a pudgy, divorced Seattle man with crumbling finances whom she met through a mail order bride service. Their union was short-lived, and fraught with deception by both parties, including allegations of spousal abuse and adultery. And it ended with a former boarder at King's home leading police to an illegal garbage dump in Seattle, where Anastasia's body was buried in a shallow grave.
Interviews with King, lawyers for both the prosecution and defense and people who knew the couple shed light on the disastrous relationship and its tragic end.
