Addiction can take on multiple forms. 21-year old Jessica is a heroin addict, while 50-year old Hubert is an alcoholic. Jessica's family is attempting to make her someone they can trust again, while Hubert's family hopes to get him off the streets of Los Angeles.
- 21-year old Jessica has a $3000 a month heroin addiction.
- Hubert is 50, addicted to alcohol, and living on the streets.
- Two different lives and addictions in one episode.
Over the past three years, Jessica's heroin addiction has grown to the point where her family cannot trust her any longer. She used to work in the family gas station, alongside her father, mother, sister, and grandfather. However, her addiction has turned her into someone the family is not comfortable around. With a $3000 a month habit and two overdoses in the past year, an intervention is her only hope.
Growing up around domestic abuse, Hubert had to protect his brothers and sisters. The strain was especially great for him, as his stepfather admits to giving more love and attention to the children that were biologically his. At age 50, Hubert is living on the streets of Los Angeles. His brothers and sisters are attempting o help Hubert with his addiction to alcohol.
INTERVENTION™ provides qualified professionals to aid these different families and addicts in the intervention process. Two different people and addictions are examined in this episode.
