I am going to buy the DVD so I can watch it as many times as I want. It was so much to take in you would have to see it a few times to remember all of it. It was wonderful!! I was never a real history person, but that was great!! If I had this in school, I would have enjoyed history allot more.

I dont think there is a dvd set with the entire tv series of all the shows made with Brian Unger as a narrator. it would cost a fortune.

I bought the first set that came out as a 3 dvd set called " THE STATES " and it is not the same as the tv series. each state is mentioned and there is about 5-7 minutes about each state. But I have been watching the series where they go into each state in detail and found a dvd in another search for a dvd released in 2010 with the guy who did the narration is available soon. but in other searches for this dvd it cant be found. I would like to get the dvd with the entire tv series on it, if it it exsists.

Fabulous show that's immensely entertaining. Happy they made it into a series that's addicting.

I'm extremely hopeful that it will return in some capacity in some way with the same host in the the near future.

I love this show and thought this would be the entire series it isnt. It is just the 2 hour first episode. This is the preview. Very informative but not as in depth as the entire episodes. Had I know this wasn't the entire season, I would have waited to purchase it for the entire set.

I am a 24 year old female and I teach 8th grade language arts. I was asked by my district to take on American history three years ago. I didn't know much about history, but enough to teach it. I don't watch the history channel because too often, it bores me. I had a student ask me, "why are states shaped so differently?" I sort of knew the answer. I went home and saw this show was on the history channel. I thought, "alright I'll check this boring show out for five minutes." Two hours later, the show ended and all I wanted was to watch more!! I now tune into the show every time it is on! I was so interested and I am waiting for my DVD to arrive to show my students. This is 100% worth every penny.

I watched this program with my two young children, ages 9 and 7. It got too late, so we recorded the last hour. It was such a great program, that the kids awoke the next morning and immediately turned on the DVR themselves.

I highly recommend the program for all ages.

Flipped onto this show yesterday and found myself glued to the couch for the rest of it! I'm definitely ordering to watch the rest of what I missed, as well as to show to my class of 4th graders. We're studying geography and the regions right now and this interactive "moving" map will totally help them understand why the states are the way they are! We already learned that geographers ask 3 questions...1. Where is it? 2. Why is it there? and 3. What is it like there? Well, this video will help my students understand numbers 1 and 2! Can't wait to get it!

All to often we accept the way things are today as if that's the way they always were or that it was inevitable. Great to see how even some of our most basic identities such as what state we are from, was often determined by circumstances we know nothing about today. This is TRIVIA 101 at it's best and should be required viewing for every American fourth grade student.

Being a geographer, I thought this segment was very interesting. There are so many schools that do not teach geography. I learned a lot from watching this show.
