About 20 years ago I had the great opportunity to transcribe at least 12 UFO-witness casette tapes. This documentary fits very well with the interviews I transcribed.

For those who have never done transcription, let me explain that the transcriptionist does not just sit down and type along as the person/people speak. For even good dictators, it is about a 3:1 ratio (transcribed:recorded) of time involved in transcription. If the recordings are not of good quality, or the voices very soft, it takes a good deal longer. If the transciptionist is transcribing something that may become an important document or source of information, even more time is involved. The transcriptionist ends up listening to the recorded voices over and over and over again. Then the proofreading of important documents takes longer still, as you listen to the audio and follow along your transcribed report, verifying that what was transcribed is reflected in the report.

To say I became very familiar with some of the tapes is an understatement. Sometimes even the men with the strongest voices at the beginning of the interview would drop their voices so low (when talking of how they or others they know had suffered because of their experience), it took considerable efforts to manipulate the audio to be confident in what was said. If I was not absolutely confident, I would leave a blank in the report. I did not leave many blanks. I took this very seriously.

My association with UFO research was through these haunting tapes and the researcher who provided them. I have since avoided the subject because, once you have applied your best critical thinking skills and accept the fact that we have had visitors from beyond, to hear the same old US government song and dance is very difficult to experience. I don't know how people like Nick Pope do it.

The researcher for whom I volunteered my time is Michael L. He has gone on to other interests, as have I. His original line of work, if I remember correctly, was as a high-level marketing rep.

Michael was a skeptic, as was I, until he did the research. There comes a time when even the most skeptical mind cannot ignore the fact that there are far more credibility "plus signs" in the "UFOs are real" column than there are in the "UFOs are only seen by Bubbas in East Jesus, Alabama" column.

I only remember two of the cases enough to speak of them. One was the 1980 "Rendlesham" incident. The tape I transcribed was, as I remember it, as represented in "I Know What I Saw" presentation. In fact, I told my husband ahead of time who a few of the personnel were and what happened next. It was so great to see these men, having only heard their voices previously.

The other incident I remember haunts me to this day.

It was with a very by-the-book man who, while working in a dental lab as a lab tech, on a military base in Ohio, was told to reproduce a mandible of an unknown specimen. He believes it was an alien species.

Ten minutes ago, for the first time in at least 20 years, I did an internet search and found an article by Michael L., with the transcribed interview in it!. It must be the interview I transcribed. I would put in the link here but it may block my comments being published here.

In what should have been a moment of awe and wonder for a human--seeing someone from the beyond!-- turned into something that ended up very badly for him. He transferred from the dental lab into security, and kept quiet for 14 years. Finally, he had to speak out, and did a radio interview. The result was he was fired, and his house was shot up one morning at a time his wife would have been getting ready for work and in the area of the home that received the gun blasts.

His voice went from angry to hurt and sad.

My husband was a lab tech in the Navy. I read to him some of the dental-tech language in the interview, and my husband said it sounded very much like what a dental tech would say to describe a memorable impression he'd done.

When you listen to these tapes, you know these are not actors. By the end of transcribing this particular tape, I went and had myself a good cry.

I am sure there are many other stories about dedicated military personnel (and others) who, just because they reported what they saw, saw their lives ruined by a predictable series of events.

I endorse this UFO presentation. To the letter, it reflects what I experienced via audio tape of the eye-witnesses attitudes, approach and fear to speak of what they saw.To actually see the men whose voices I heard so long ago, and have wondered what happened to them, is a gift I cannot ever repay.

Nick Pope--I have the highest admiration for him. His effort were often, in the beginning of his research, especially, at a time when fear and government/military intimidation ruled the lives of the witnesses who simply were at the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time to view what so many of us would have been gratified to see.

I think this presentation is perfect for a credible overall representation of some of the most credibly documented UFO sightings. This DVD would be great for showing to someone who may have questions. If nothing else, it will show them that people who are probably far more powerful and credible than they are, are going on the record with what they saw.

One of the best presentations of the very best evidence that there really are interstellar travelers. Top government officials, top military officials, documentation, from around the world... And it's not just someone telling you what they thought this official said or experienced, it is the government and military officials from several countries telling their experiences themselves, presenting their own documentation and evidence. If you've ever wondered at all if there could really be beings and crafts from elsewhere in the universe, and if they could have visited here, this is the DVD for you. Very compelling, indeed. And this thoughtful and intelligent presentation makes it utterly impossible and illogical to discount it all as "swamp gas" or "flares". You really must see this. We need more study and information on the subject.

I am not a believer, but I keep an open mind. I have watched many other programs on this subject. However, this has been the first time a cinematographer has compiled so many UFO sightings, with very credible witnesses. It's impossible to toss this one aside as simple hog wash.
I do hope that we are not alone in this universe, even thou I'm still not totally convinced. It would be great if the human race were being watched by superior beings. Who knows, some day "they" may stop us from destroying our own planet, as we have been doing since we took over the stewardship of this Earth.

I LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE HISTORY CHANNEL DID NOT SHOW THIS DVD "I KNOW WHAT I SAW" ON JUNE 11 2010 AT 8PM ALONG WITH OTHER UFO HUNTER SHOWS????? WHAT MADE THEM CHANGE ALL UFO SHOWS STARTING AT 8PM UNTILL 2AM ON JUNE 11 2010?????

I have been following the UFO scene for years now. This DVD does not present any more information than I have already; information I have read about or seen throught History channel or other shows and/or through the internet.

I did not see a point to this documentary. It is rather sloppily put together (in other words editing really could have been much better). Cases or ideas jump around with no real conclusion and not very well presented. Some witnesses are interviwed but the viewer is not shown but segments of a conversation leaving a feeling of incompleteness. Nothing was said about (U.S.) Presidents and what they know/hide/don't know. Seems like no attempts were made to contact the military and put them on the spot about what is being hidden from the public, which is really one of the main issues about the whole UFO phenomenon! Almost everything presented on the documentary has been presented already by shows such as History's "UFO Hunters," which is why I feel this DVD is rather pointless.

I conclusion, every idea should have been presented and detailed before moving to another topic. The witness interviews should have been included with the ideas/topics instead of being "pasted" here and there. At the end some sort of attempt to PUSH for information from active military officials and/or even U.S. Presidents (past or present) would have wrapped up the documentary better. If you have at least seen "UFO Hunters," then the information in this documentary is old news to you.

Too many credible witnesses to ignore. Who is behind these things and why don't we know about these events? Someone has done a good job hiding them all until now.

Question: What if you could gather all the most credible witnesses from around the world into one room and look at their evidence? I am a very logical person and have kept an eye on this subject for some time. There has been a terrible need for a good presentation that demonstrates just how credible many of these testimonies are, and the incredible positions many of these witnesses have held in governments domestic and abroad. This DVD finally accomplished that feat. If you are interested in this subject and want a good overview of highly credible information, this is the DVD for you. This presentation puts forth evidence that simply cannot be ignored. Whatever the answer is, it is not all explained away by swamp gas and weather balloons as most so called skeptics would have you believe. I've watched this several times and am amazed each and every time I see it.

Let me begin by saying that I am neither a witness nor a fanatic. I tend to believe facts and not fiction or faith in things intangible. I do believe there are a great many topics kept from the general public for reasons unknown or acceptable. I will say that this presentation, backed highly with credible facts and witnesses from global representations, cannot be dismissed. The U.S. government must be made accountable for all things public and private, as they are employed by the public and private. To be frank and forthright is the only honorable and mature thing to do. Simply put... to believe we are all that is "out there" is foolish and self-deceptive as well as defeating. Let the truths be known and approached respectfully and fully within the global communities and may the light bring out what has been condemned to the dark! Thank you for your time.
