How the States Got Their Shapes

Based on the book by Mark Stein, the History Channel’s series How the States Got Their Shapes explores these very questions. And with the help of host Brian Unger, this series goes beyond the classroom traveling to various locations, visiting historical and cultural sites, interviewing local experts and everyday people to address how landscape, language or natural resources have influenced the character of each state.
