I don't know a lot about diabetes but I'm 22 and I have chronic illnesses and I know the feeling of being sick and tired of being sick and tired and not wanting to have to take all the pills or self-inject or force yourself to exercise but you just have to do it anyways. I wish I could contact him too, I don't have diabetes but I can relate!

The episode that had so much impact in my live was John the diabetic. Certianly betrayal can make us feel worthless, it did me. This young man is anything but. So glad he turned it around and has a bright future. He and his family have my continued prayers and wishes as does the show. I have been recovering since shortly after the airing of this episode...Thanks John C.

I watch Intervention regularly, as I am also a recovering addict. I have been on the sober road from Oxycontins for slightly over 5 months now. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the select few friends that I was able to keep in my life. I feel for John as a person, but I am also a Medical Assistant & know how crutial it is that he cares for his disease. I wish that there was some way that I could be a friend for him to talk to. Sometimes it makes things that much easier to talk to peer & not a parent.
