By her late 20's, Sandy had achieved the American Dream. She was married with four beautiful daughters and owned a home she and her husband had built themselves. She made great efforts to give her children a better life than she had received growing up.Today, Sandy's life is nearly unrecognizable from what it once was. Her days consist of combining prescription drugs with a pint of vodka, slurring her words through a thick Boston accent, as she relies on her daughters to monitor both her diabetes and alcohol consumption. She's been hospitalized several times for taking herself to the edge of living and her family has run out of options. Their only hope is an intervention.
Intervention won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality Series.
