C'mon you two, get over it, this is a great entertainment documentry on how the US treat our royalty, even its name emplies entertainment. Nice to know you can get a RibEye at 2 in the morning, build a pool or basketball hoop or even a bowling alley if you want it...take THAT UK!

I was disheartened that the documentary included the false "Bush was amazed by a supermarket scanner" tale. It's been debunked for at least a decade, according to snopes-dot-com. Really, couldn't they at least do some original research?

I recorded this show on my DVR and was not disappointed. I have watched it twice and found it to be highly informative and entertaining. The show humanizes the office of President of the United States and the men who have held that office. I have visited Washington, D.C. a few times, toured the White House and attended a presidential inauguration, so the show brought back many pleasant memories and provided facts of which I was not previously aware. I am buying a copy to send to a friend who lives in the Czech Republic. I know that she will enjoy it even more than I.

I watched this on The History Channel and LOVED it! My husband started watching it first and as I walked past the TV, something caught my eye. From that moment I was glued to the TV. Great stories about some of the President. It's in order of subject rather than each president in order of his term in office. I HIGHLY recommend this movie to any lover of history.

I really liked this documentary. You can trust me I had seen it over 5 times and watched it close it is very good. It is set and goes through many presidents and what they had done in office. This does not favor a political party, although there are some areas that talks about politics it is mostly about the presidental life no matter if it is a democrat or republican they will talk about they live what they like to do and what there personality is like like I said you will find some politics not much just about the presidental life. I very much enjoy and hope you will also.

This was very good. This video is actually very fair it does not potray presidents as bad or good but rather what people who have worked in the White House say. It is not meant to be in depth like a history series this is a very good 2 hour documentary. It is very casual as it goes from one president to another showing something they had to do under certain subjects which you will see in the documentary if you buy it. There is favoritism toward one political party as I know because I have watched this documentary over 5 times it talks about what the life is like in the presidency there is some politics in this but mostly the presidencial life.

I'm not sure what the previous two reviewers were thinking! Don't listen to their assessments. This is a great program on the presidency! I recorded it when it was first aired, and will buy the DVD when it comes out. Furthermore, I am a high school US History & Government teacher and am pursuing a PhD in Social Studies Curriculum, so I know something about about history and historical documentaries. The program uses great historical footage and tells a very coherent story about the hectic nature of the job of president. The fast-paced nature with many images was no doubt meant to mirror the chaotic life of the president. The program is very entertaining, and the high school juniors and seniors I teach would enjoy it and get a lot out of it. If you want a slower-paced documentary (as those other two reviewes apparently do), go to your local library and check out a documentary on video tape with elevator music and a stuffy old narrator. "It's Good to be the President" is just the opposite-- it is great!

I really enjoyed the show. It was pretty cool to hear comments from the White House Chef, people who address every need of the president, how the president attempts to lead an ordinary life but is sort of trapped within the "Big White Jail" in reference to the white house, because he must be kept in a constant safety bubble.

Tendency to portray certain Presidents as popular and others being very disagreeable. Film intentionally deliberates on certain faults of specific Presidents, yet portrays others as popular, attractive to the American people, and having no conflict or controversy during their term. Extreme favortism towards one political party and not provide true historical accuracy. Obama comes out of this film without a scratch. Not my opinion of a quality and honest film!

Camera quickly jumping from one President to another and from one item to the next without any depth in analysis. Felt almost as if made by an amateur director. The commentator had too parental of a style. The program never told a coherent full story. But, attempted to dramatize the events, but did not come out substantive enough.
