I would use this product to get more information about the title subject. It brings closer to me the history of exciting personalities from the past. It shows how freely people could move around not so long ago without the automobile. I find that the in depth digging into the possibilites of finding treasure very exciting, and how Jesse James melted himself into a regular farmer's life. I am excitied to own this video.

I found this production to be delightfully enlightening! Plenty of evidence, though arguably subjective, does point to several questions about Jesse James' 'real' life. Especially the finding of the broach belonging to zerelda, as well as locating treasure beneath the "double J" glyphs. A great reference to bolster this production is the book titled, "Jesse James: last rebel of the civil war" by T.J. Stiles. A must read if this subject interests you! My only complaint is the ending...no sequel? No follow up? This was filmed awhile back...surely there's been development since then? I would love to know what they find/found...

Bogus from start to finish. The history was mostly speculation or pure fantasy. The "find" sites had obviously been salted.

Then they stop digging a few feet away from the treasure because winter is coming, with men working in shirtsleeves and all the trees in the background still verdantly green? C'mon

The history aspect is thoroughly interesting. It is much more than just treasure hunting, as the individuals involved in this investigation into the history of the Jesse James life and times took many years. To me the production shows very well the stories pasted down either though legend or newspaper account of Jesse James and his relatives and partners along his path of life. In the investigation into these stories they use todays best technology to find evidence that support these stories.
I am not an avid moviegoer, or casual viewer, or movie buff. I am a history buff and find investigative research to place facts to stories that other are maybe just stories.
I say Very well done!

Jesse James' Hidden Treasure has been shown over twenty five times since it's release in Nov. 09 and is the top rated show in the history of the History Channel. The true history of Jesse James given by T. J. Stiles and Ralph Ganis was wonderful along with never before seen images of Jesse James and Charlie Ford.

What suit and tie schmuck dredged this stuff up??? Hell, My Great Grandaddy buried his money in mason jars out by his chicken coop because he didnt trust banks. Also,what the H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS are "treasure hunters" doing running loose wearing pistols and badges???? One guy even was carrying a shotgun. All that for a few measley rusty mason jars of morgan silver and maybe one or two gold pieces?....Cmon folks.......get real.

This was terrible. Just ended on the promise of finding treasure. No way would you walk away from being that close to a possible major find. Slap in the face to true history buffs. They try to glorify an outlaw. War made him a bad man not a super hero.

Bob and Dave from Mr. Show couldn't make this any funnier. Yeah, Jessie James buried a mason jar over 80 feet deep...after he died. And the so called experts- we laughed until we cried at their garbage. HELLO!! Juvenile historians grow up already! Your dreams of finding a box of money are finito.

Thought it was an informative and original depiction of an American legend. Would really have liked to have had some conclusive evidence rather than conjecture, but understand that currently there are no real means by which to prove anything one way or the other. By any chance did anyone think about trying to retrieve finger prints off of the coins before they were handled? Seems like something a professional might do, when searching for truth rather than simply treasure.

I was enjoying the program and suddenly, as they are digging for something they feel may be very valuable and telling... the program ends and the narator explains "Winter has come to Kansas and the investigators will have to wait for more funding before they can dig any more".
No "To Be Concluded" or "Tune in next week..."

What a joke.95% of the dvd is a guess of the life of Jesse James.Very little treasure hunting, and when they did dig for treasure,it looks totally staged.The coins were way to clean for being buried 100 years.And then when they think they found something big, the show ends.It stinks.
