Midway through the hot summer season and having to balance work, family and racing is almost too much to handle for the race teams. Jason is being forced to choose between racing or making it to his daughter’s dance recital. Junior exerts his frustration on a rental trailer. In Winston-Salem, North Carolina, families have been feuding for generations. Dating back to the days of bootlegging and running moonshine, these families battle every weekend on the “Granddaddy of Racetracks,” Bowman Gray Stadium.

These families fight it out and settle their differences at a hundred miles per hour in front of 15,000 screaming fans. Their lives are consumed by building, maintaining and racing some of the most powerful cars in the world for 16 weeks between April and August.
