The isolation of space comes to life in this indie hit in the tradition of such science fiction classics as "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968) and "Silent Running" (1972). Sam Rockwell stars as a miner nearing the end of a three-year contract to harvest precious gasses on the moon. With no company but his base's computer (voiced by Oscar®-winner Kevin Spacey), Rockwell begins experiencing hallucinations and other strange phenomena that point to a deadly secret about the true nature of his mission and himself. Includes two commentary tracks, making-of featurette, more.

Expert Review:
Too quirky to get mainstream attention, this Duncan Jones masterpiece was one of the best of 2009. With nearly a cast of one, Sam Rockwell gives the performance of a lifetime as a lonely worker on the moon. Captivating and filled with mental action, this is a great delivery of sci-fi's true power.
