Starring Ileana Douglas ("Cape Fear") and Alia Shawkat ("Arrested Development") (2006/Drama) Inspired by the powerful true story of a modern day witch hunt, but one that goes to the heart of what plagues teenagers who are tormented if they are in any way "different." In this case, it's Brandi Blackbear, a teenager of Native American descent who lives in a small Oklahoma town, post-Columbine, when school authorities are on alert for strange behavior. She is suspended from school because a notebook of her fiction writings and the sudden illness of a teacher prompts the students and faculty alike to assume she is practicing witchcraft and casting spells. With her family's support and backing by the ACLU, she sues the school for violating her civil rights and fights to clear her name.
