See the classic horror film that introduced the world to Stephen Dorff. Dorff ("Blade," "Public Enemies") stars in the '80s horror favorite "The Gate (Monstrous Special Edition)" (1987), the chilling story about a group of kids who accidentally open a portal to another dimension and release a horde of tiny demons into the world. The kids must band together to banish the monsters back to their dimension or see the end of life on Earth as they know it. Directed by B-movie legend Tibor Takács, "The Gate" also features Christa Denton and Louis Tripp.

Expert Review:
Just because a horror film is suitable for younger audiences is no excuse to write it off. "The Gate", a monster movie for a family audience, substitutes gore, nudity and swearing with fantastic monsters and bizarre nightmares. There's a serious edge to this family flick, which succeeds in making a suburban setting seem totally isolated. By Mark Pellegrini of Adventures in Poor Taste
